Base Fixer-Upper

Low on cash and can’t afford that real shop tune-up? Here we go with a quick little fix for base gouges. For real core shots, best head to the shop.

Lighter in hand, light the end of your P-tex stick. It should start to burn on its own.
One drop at a time, drip the P-Tex into the base scratches. Wait for each drop to cool before you drop another one. This will make sure it really sets and you don’t have a giant meltly mess.


Let it all cool for 20-40minutes.


Use a metal scraper to scrape the P-Tex flush with your board. And um don’t scrape off your base.
